Sara Ruffini is Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Marche in Building Engineering and with a PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction and Architecture (Univpm) with a thesis focused on thermal and energy modelling of buildings and calibration of models developed in collaboration with the European projects SEAM4US and Marte. In 2014 she carried out a study period at Plymouth University (UK) during which she studied the modelling of buildings and university campuses and developed methods and techniques for calibrating complex models. Since 2016 she has been working at R2M as a Project Manager for European projects with themes of energy efficiency, renewable energy communities and smart cities, she also collaborates with the team of modelling and sustainability
Main area of activity in R2M:
As part of the R2M Innovation Division she followed Horizon2020/HorizonEurope Projects as Project Manager. The main projects were she was involved in were NESOI, LIGHTNESS, LocalRES, SmartLivingEPC and NEON. . Futhermore, she supports the Energy Modeling Team with buildings and urban dynamic modeling, Energy Audits and Energy Services consultancy.
