TEsting XR4ED In VOcational Schools

TEXIVOS aims to validate a new approach of vocational education focus to the construction sector by integrating Extended Reality (XR) features. Funded by the HE project XR4ED (Accelerating innovation in learning and education through EdTech and XR), TEXIVOS will define an EXTRA (EXtended TRAining) Methodology, combining traditional pedagogical approaches with cutting-edge XR technologies. The methodology will be the reference for the designing a number of leraning modules embedding XR features. These modules will be part of structured courses, already part of the portfolio of courses of IIPLE, targeting both young students (aged 15-18) and adults/professionals for upskill/reskill. R2M will also deploy a targeted verion of AVANTI (R2M proprietary solution) for skill assessment and skill gap detection with reference to professional profiles of the construction sector. The test and validation process of the modules will be informed by feedback from students and teachers/trainers. Results will help in finetuning the final version of the EXTRA Methodology. An analysis at market exploitation level will investigate on the potential for replicability of the approach on learning courses in other sectors besides construction (e.g., manufacturing, energy, etc.).
