To be recognized as dominant assessment schemes, EPCs and SRIs still face several needs and fulfill certain requirements:

– Develop on-site processes for EPC and SRI audits in line with the most advanced standards
– Convert EPC and SRI assessment in prominent decision-making tools for decarbonize the European building stock
– Upskill and reskill the EPC and SRI professional assessors thanks to the SmarterEPC Hub and dedicated training packages
The SmarterEPC Hub is the cutting-edge solution for assessors and operators in the building sector to effortlessly evaluate and rate buildings. The hub will ease access to the most complete and updated EPC and SRI assessment tools as well as e-learning materials available in several EU languages.
Role of R2M
R2M France is the project coordinator, also leading the non-technical activities and services that will support the faster uptake of the EPC and the SRI, such as: the development and operation of a virtual training centre for EPC and SRI candidate assessors and the delivery of training programs; the establishment of an SRI support centre for national committees which aim to initiate activities for adopting the SRI; and the drafting and delivery of a roadmap towards achieving the target of mandatory SRI for tertiary buildings with a heating capacity higher than 290 kW.
R2M Italy is leading the scientific dissemination, market exploitation, and communication activities of SmarterEPC. R2M Italy is also a key partner in the IT development of the SmarterEPC hub, focusing also on developing a smart data collection process for integrating the SRI into the next generation EPCs.
