Motivation & Impact
DENiM will serve as a catalyst for addressing the identified challenges with specific impact on:
-Holistic understanding of impact on sustainability through new approaches that captures performance in a continuous manner to enable proactive approach to sustainable optimisation;
-Development of digital platforms and application development frameworks that ensures interoperability between frameworks\tools and the ability to create distributed control architectures that are both secure and safe;
-Intelligent analytics and machine learning approaches to implement these algorithms in a way that does not require specific data science engineers and Developing digital twins, modelling and simulation within industrial processes to produce connected, light-weight general models that address domain specific challenges.
The target for DENiM is to create impact that supports the realisation of this vision by providing digital tools and methodologies to enable sustainability through a holistic approach to energy consumption reduction and production sustainability within manufacturing value chains.
Role of R2M
R2M cover the role of exploitation leader in the WP9 managing explotable results, in the drafting of business models and in the analysis if the market framework.
R2M work to the Identification for the most relevant energy certification systems to be applied in manufacturing, and the energy standards most used in the indistrial sectors.
The ICT department is also involved in relevant technical task that include:
-supporting the creation of DENIM energy and sustainability badge and labels,
-supporting the definition of the DENIM IT architecture, including FIWARE components;
-installation and data acquisition from smart meters.
