Graduated in Architecture at the Iuav University of Venice, Lorenza Pistore obtained a PhD in Sustainable Energy and Technologies at the Free University of Bolzano. During her doctoral activity, she carries out part of her research as a visiting scholar at the Center for the Built Environment (CBE) of the University of California Berkeley.
In her many years of experience as a researcher, in addition to energy efficiency, Lorenza focuses mainly on indoor environmental quality in buildings, as well as on occupants’ well-being, behaviour and energy-related practices. In recent years she has grown her expertise in the Academia, where in addition to research she has had the opportunity to practice teaching at different university levels.
Participation in national and international research projects have seen her engaged in many areas related to energy efficiency of buildings and technological development, bringing her inclination for a holistic and transdisciplinary approach. She has taken part in COST Action and Horizon projects funded by the European Union, interfacing with numerous realities both at academic and corporate level.
Main area of activity in R2M:
In R2M solution, Lorenza is a project manager within the Innovation division. Her activity focuses on energy efficiency and communities, energy poverty, indoor environmental quality, and social aspects related to the achievement of carbon-neutral societies. She works in several European projects and she is also involved in projects proposals’ writing.
