Motivation & Impact
ENERGE aims to achieve a minimum 15% reduction in total energy consumption at schools and will engage and enable management, teachers, students and maintenance staff to reduce energy. Long-term impacts will be consolidated by the development of additional and revised educational material to supplement existing school curricula for our future decision makers: students aged 12-18. ENERGE will track the effects of project initiatives beyond the school environment into the domestic environment of staff and students to monitor how interventions in school can have wider impacts beyond the school environment.
Role of R2M
As exploitation leader, R2M will propose to the ENERGE partners a comprehensive process for the management of the exploitation results of the project and the development of a validated business- and exploitation plan for the ENERGE platform. R2M will analyse and map out the different governance models, administrative setup and financial models for post-primary schools in the NEW region. R2M will disseminate the activities and results to energy, construction and building owner communities (through its own communication tools like website, social media) and events like the annual Sustainable Places conference.
