Sara Momi

EU R&I Project Manager & Business Developer – Innovation Division
Sara has been working in the field of EU-funded collaborative projects and EU policies as Proposal & Project Manager and Business Developer since 2009. She has acquired expertise mainly in EU R&D projects on renewable energy (energy efficiency, solar thermal technologies, biomass valorisation for bioenergy and bioeconomy) by overseeing dissemination and exploitation of results (including the organization of experts’ engagement activities and events), as well as of project coordination, administrative and financial reporting. Thanks to her experiences in private and public entities, in Italy and abroad, Sara has covered other domains (e.g., sustainable agriculture, circular economy, ICT and robotics, life sciences and smart materials) by addressing the full project lifecycle: from scouting of funding calls and opportunities, and proposal drafting, to project execution, including financial audits when foreseen. Sara holds a MA degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Università di Trieste (2008), a post degree in Management of International Projects from Sapienza Università di Roma and Business School “Il Sole 24 Ore” (2009).

Main area of activity in R2M:

Sara is currently in charge of managing and executing projects on tools for measuring energy efficiency and smartness of building (SmarterEPC), development of a decision-support platform for selecting bio-based materials for building renovation aligned with circular economy (BIO4EEB) and extended reality applied to training courses in the construction sector (TEXIVOS). Sara also coordinates the activities of R2M Dissemination & Communication Booster (DCB), supporting colleagues on communication and dissemination strategies, liaising with the R2M Communication Team on covering strategic events, and design of capacity building and training interventions. She is also part of the R2M EU and national proposal-writing team.
